King

King MonkeyKing Monkey is the leader of all monkeys in the universe. Orphaned at the age of two, he learned early on how to survive independently in the wild. He brings years of knowledge and wisdom to the table, pouring his heart and soul out on to that clunky typewriter he found tossed to the gravel roadside by a group of petty thieves who raided a local printing shop. He types up lyrics like no other monkey, as he is the first to arrive and the last to leave. Since acquiring his first typewriter, King took to collecting discarded but functional typewriters across the monkey kingdom and storing them in a secret cave.

Speedy

Speedy MonkeySpeedy Monkey could be considered the son of King Monkey judging by their close relationship. Yet the two are not blood-related. Like King, Speedy was orphaned at an early age when his parents were killed by poachers. Nearly all of his extended family was wiped out, with the remaining survivors scattered around the dense jungle. It was his speed that allowed him to escape such fatal consequences, earning him the nickname of Speedy. King took a lost and lonely Speedy into his care and taught him the art of typewriting. As it turned out, Speedy was a natural on the typewriter, and has the highest output of lyrics in the group. However, Speedy's output comes at the expense of occasional spelling errors, resulting in the retyping of several lyrics.

Cheeky

Cheeky MonkeyCheeky Monkey is the female of the group. She comes from an affluent family in the monkey kingdom where her father oversees a productive food scavenging operation. However, her rebellious nature has caused a lot of trouble within the family, leaving her parents puzzled as to whether she is capable of taking over the operation after they pass on. Cheeky tends to step out of her home in the middle of the night and run amuck in the jungle. One night, she stumbled upon King's lair and his collection of typewriters. After causing some minor damage to some typewriters, she was caught by King who was just sleeping in the corner. Scared for her life, she apologized for the damage, to which King accepted. He shared his story about the lyrics operation he ran, which seemed to intrigue her immensely. Cheeky was eager to join in on the fun, and so ended her days of mischief. To this day, her parents have no knowledge about her new activities.
